Write Once, Post Everywhere — Without Posting the Same Thing Everywhere
Copy-paste cross-posting has a hidden cost. The same text that works as a LinkedIn opener reads stiff on Threads, gets cut off on X, and is rejected outright by Instagram without an image. Posting identical copy everywhere is fast, but it trades a few minutes for weaker posts on every channel at once.
The fix is not to write five posts. It is to write one and adjust it where each channel needs it.
Write the idea once
In PostClaw's composer, pick every channel you want to post to, then write in the All tab. That text is the shared version every channel starts from. The panel on the right shows a live preview per channel, so you can see how the same words land on a Facebook Page, a Threads profile or an Instagram feed before anything goes out.
Tune each channel in its own tab
Each selected channel gets a tab next to All. Open one and edit just that version:
- X — cut to the hook; the character count is right there.
- LinkedIn — add the one line of context a professional audience expects.
- Threads — make it conversational; end with a question.
- Instagram — lead with the image and keep the caption short.
Channel tabs also hold platform settings — collaborators and trial reels on Instagram, reply controls on Threads, a first comment where it is supported.
Add an image without leaving the window
Instagram and TikTok need media, and posts with a visual tend to stop the scroll everywhere else. Click AI Image, describe the picture, pick an aspect ratio and a style, and generate. When you like the result, Use Image attaches it to the post, and every channel preview updates.
Image generation is available on paid plans and runs on your own AI key — for example a ChatGPT subscription you sign in with, or an API key from another provider — billed by the provider, with no markup from us.
Then post or schedule
Hit Post Now and watch each channel report back, or schedule the post onto your week. One draft, tuned per channel, with a picture — in about the time it used to take to paste the same text five times.
Quick checklist before you post
- Does each channel's version open with its strongest line?
- Is anything cut off in the preview?
- Does every channel that needs media have it?
- Are links tracked, so you know which channel sent the visit?
