How to Schedule Facebook Posts on Your Page (Step by Step)

For many local businesses, the Facebook Page is still where customers check opening hours, see recent work and send a message. A Page that posted last in March looks closed. Scheduling keeps it alive without opening Facebook every day.

First: Pages, not profiles

Facebook only allows apps to publish to Pages, not personal profiles. If your business posts from a personal profile today, create a Page (it takes a couple of minutes and is free). Every scheduler, including Meta's own, works only with Pages.

Method 1: Meta Business Suite

Meta Business Suite (business.facebook.com) can schedule Page posts and Instagram posts together. It is free and fine if Facebook and Instagram are all you use.

Where it stops: no other networks, limited help writing posts, and planning a whole week still means creating each post one by one.

Method 2: Schedule with PostClaw

Step 1: Connect your Page

Sign in to PostClaw with Google or GitHub. Open Channels, choose Facebook, and approve access. When Facebook asks which Pages to share, tick the Page you want to post to — this is the step people miss. If you manage no Page yet, PostClaw links you to create one.

Step 2: Write the post

In the Composer, pick the Page and add photos, a video or a link. Write the text, or ask the AI to draft it in your brand voice. Facebook allows very long posts, but the first two lines decide whether anyone reads on.

Step 3: Schedule it

Pick a time. The post shows on the Calendar, where you can move it to another day or edit it. It publishes through Facebook's API at that time.

Step 4: Post the same idea elsewhere

Select Instagram, LinkedIn or X too. PostClaw adapts the text per platform — shorter for X, more visual for Instagram — and you review each version.

What to post on a business Page

Day Post
Mon A recent job, order or result, with a photo
Tue A short tip your customers ask about
Wed Behind the scenes: the team, the workshop, the kitchen
Thu A customer review (with permission)
Fri What's on this weekend or next week, with a clear call to action

Five posts a week is plenty. Consistency matters more than volume.

Common problems

  • "No Pages found" after connecting. You skipped the Page selection screen or are not an admin of the Page. Reconnect and tick the Page.
  • A post failed with a permissions error. The Page role may have changed; reconnecting refreshes access.
